# Clarification on confluent cloud upgrade

Hi,

I’m new to confluent. I have read the documentations on confluent platform and confluent cloud. Can someone tell me whether any upgradations are required to be performed for confluent cloud ?

If so how to do so?

I have just checked the doc which you shared. I have one more doubt, confluent cloud is fully managed and cloud native application right, then should we manually upgrade confluent or will confluent team itself handle upgradation parts?

confluent will handle the upgrades afaik
