# Hello from France, French riviera

Hi All,

I’m Alain, I’m a middleware expert and currently working on kafka for 4 years.  
I have already implemented kafka with confluent, I don’t use RBAC but Ranger for the authorization. I also use some tools like apache cruise control, akhq and an home made solution for the lag monitoring.  
Dashboardings are done with prometheus/grafana for metrics, and Kibana for logs.
