Hi everyone,

I need to mirror the data from an active cluster, where some writes happen, to many passive cluster(near the production sites).
So for this use case the architecture is 1 Active → N Passive.
I am here to ask you if it’s possible to do this with a mirror app, e.g. MirroMaker or Confluent Replicator (I am thinking of installing 1 mirroring instance per passive cluster, is this correct?).

Than you for your time.

Hi @dry19

yes it’s possible with Confluent replicator or MirrorMaker.
There is a nice quickstart with replicator

[https://docs.confluent.io/platform/current/multi-dc-deployments/replicator/replicator-quickstart.html#tutorial-replicating-data-across-clusters](https://docs.confluent.io/platform/current/multi-dc-deployments/replicator/replicator-quickstart.html#tutorial-replicating-data-across-clusters)

also a nice talk about mirrormaker2 during kafka summit 2020 by @mickael.maison
