Resources:

The Internet of Things (IoT) has arrived, transforming everything from our retail experiences to the household electronics that amaze us, to the complex manufacturing processes requiring automation and real-time monitoring at every step. Real-time event-driven systems are critical in IoT – stale inventory numbers yield unhappy shoppers, batch-driven QA processes waste valuable time on the manufacturing floor, and late-arriving vehicle locations introduce guesswork into fleet management and routing decisions. In this session, we build a practical IoT solution for fleet management and outline a reference architecture positioning Kafka as the event and streaming processing backbone of an end-to-end IoT monitoring and analytics solution.
