# Setup timezone in Kafka Connect log4J

Hello,

Quick question: is it possible to output the timezone in the kafka-connect logs ?  
What should be the log4j configuration to do so ?  
Has anyone ever encountered this need ?

Hi,

did you check [Kafka Connect Logging | Confluent Documentation](https://docs.confluent.io/platform/current/connect/logging.html#using-the-kconnect-log4j-properties-file)

Timezone should be something like this:

```auto
%d{yyyy-MM-dd/HH:mm:ss.SSS/zzz}

```
