# Undefined reference rd\_kafka\_init\_transaction

Hi All, I am new to kafka and i have to implement kafka adapter. So to commit the produced messages to kafka using rd\_kafka\_commit\_transaction but it is giving rd\_kafa\_commit\_transaction undefined reference.

Using 1.9 librdkafka version and added the -librdkafka linker in my compilation command but still facing this problem.

Anyone pls help me ASAP

Seems you posted the question into the wrong channel. “Kafka Streams” is for Kafka’s Java stream processing library.

Please try [Clients - Confluent Community](https://forum.confluent.io/c/clients/23) instead.
