This is basic question. We are migrating our integrations to Azure and Aws for our systems for a big govt org. All cloud providers advise to use connectors. Are the libraries provided by Confluent which contain classes like FileStreamSource and its sub types like Spool Dir open source? We don’t have to purchase any licenses correct ? Wanted to confirm before sharing to broader audience. Even MSFT and Amazon reference these classes in their documentation.

Please note that, as per their website, “Confluent does not recommend the FileStream Connector for production use.” So please avoid it if you’re looking for a solution suitable for production.
The SpoolDir Connector is available here under the Apache-2.0 license.
