Cloud-native technology is the norm. We are now designing our applications to be portable and platform agnostic so that they can run virtually anywhere while being cost efficient. In a developer-centric environment, the next generation of cloud-native is serverless native. One of the requirements for serverless applications is that they are event-driven. Kafka is a popular OSS tool for making event-driven software but how do we utilize Kafka to take advantage of event-driven serverless architecture? Jason Smith will demonstrate serverless eventing with Kafka and a few architectures to make this easier for developers.
