This event will walk you through a tutorial that shows you how to build your first Kafka Streams application in Java. In this talk, we will address signing up to Confluent Cloud (no credit card needed), installing the confluent CLI, creating your first cluster, and writing a simple Java program that uses Kafka Streams DSL API to consume a stream and transform it. On the producer side, we will also see how to use callbacks to handle responses from producing the stream and how to optimise your producer for throughput.
