Librdkafka yanked from https://packages.confluent.io/clients/deb

Previously I could install librdkafka-dev=1.9.0-1.cflt~deb10 librdkafka1=1.9.0-1.cflt~deb10 librdkafka++1=1.9.0-1.cflt~deb10 from repository https://packages.confluent.io/clients/deb.

That is until some time recently - identified on 9th May - very possibly before this however.

Now I can only access:

librdkafka1:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 2.4.0-1.cflt~de10
  Version table:
     2.4.0-1.cflt~de10 500
        500 https://packages.confluent.io/clients/deb buster/main amd64 Packages
     0.11.6-1.1 500
        500 http://deb.debian.org/debian buster/main amd64 Packages

This is the case for librdkafka-dev, librdkafka1 and librdkafka++1.

The question is why have these packages been yanked at version 1.9.0? Is this intentional to break compatibility?

I see a possibly related issue here: Installing confluent-libserdes1 on ubuntu 20.04 is broken - particularly in the comment to this issue.

Confluent Engineering is working to address this. I’ll update once the packages are available again!

This is fixed. If you run sudo apt update you will see the previously available versions. Thanks for reporting this!
