I am referring to the issue about adding support for Elasticsearch 9.0.0:
Is there any visibility into potential timelines or prioritization for this work? I completely understand that open source projects do not come with guaranteed delivery dates, but I am trying to understand whether this is something planned in the short term or if there is someone specific I should reach out to for clarity.
I am also considering starting a temporary community fork to help unblock this on our side, though I would prefer to align with the maintainers if possible. Would the team welcome community contributions toward Elasticsearch 9 support?
I am willing to invest time in it, but I have had limited success getting smaller changes merged in the past, so I am unsure how realistic a larger contribution would be without prior alignment.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, and thank you again for all the work you do on this project.
